School Advisory Committee

The Purpose of the Lyman HS School Advisory Council (SAC) is the following:

Serve as a resource for the principal who remains responsible for all decisions affecting the school, and the principal shall make the final decision on recommendations of the SAC;
Advise the principal in matters pertaining to the school program; "Advise" in this context means to inquire, inform, suggest, or recommend;
Inquire about school matters, identify problems, propose solutions to problems, suggest changes, inform the Lyman school community, and make recommendations of the council to the principal;
Assist in the preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan as defined in Section 230.23(18) of the Florida Statutes;
Address any other educational area which would be improved through the encouragement of closer working relationships among the students, the school

Meeting Dates for 2022-2023:

All meetings are held at 6 PM in Lyman's Media Center.
