It's time to apply for Lyman's Academy of Building & Design POE
What is a Program of Emphasis?
A Program of Emphasis provides a structured study strand centered on a career pathway. Students who are zoned for Lyman may select the Program Emphasis through the course selection process, and a limited number of seats in the program are available for student who are not zoned for Lyman. To be considered if you are out of Lyman's zone you must apply for the Program of Emphasis.
How to apply?
To apply for the Academy of Building & Design, please go to the Student Assignment and Program Access page.
When to apply?
The application period is open from February 1 to April 1. Late applications are accepted until July 20.
What grade levels are accepted?
All grade levels 9 through 12 will be considered. Students in 9th grade are automatically accepted if there are seats available in the program. Students in grades 10-12 can apply, but their application is subject to approval by Lyman's administration.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation is provided to eligible in-zone students living more than two miles from the school. Approved out-of-zone transfer students may apply for transportation through the Ticket to Ride program. Through this program it is possible that a student may be granted access to preexisting bus routes (pending space availability). This program does not create bus stops or bus routes and is not guaranteed for the duration of the transfer.
